Job Description

We are looking for an experienced packaging designer to develop creative and cost-effective packaging designs for our clients’ products. As a packaging designer, you will work to develop functional, creative, eye-catching packaging designs that resonate with consumer markets and comply with current shipping and handling regulations.

To ensure success as a packaging designer, applicant should have an eye for style and knowledge of packaging regulations. A top-class packaging designer should be current on market trends and able to create product packaging that is both unique and functional.

Responsibilities:

· Meeting with clients and company personnel to identify solutions for packaging challenges.

· Analyzing alternative packaging designs to achieve customer goals.

· Creating CAD design files capable of being manufactured and validating all applicable information is accurate and clear.

· Designing point of purchase displays.

· Completing final mock-up renderings using Adobe Creative Suite, KeyShot, and Solidworks.

Preferred Applicants Will Possess:

· College education or heavy college coursework in the field of computers, CAD, and drafting.

· Proven experience working as a packaging designer.

· Knowledge of corrugated substrate, other substrates are a plus.

· Natural talent for design and a keen eye for detail.

· Understanding of graphic design.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
